Sommelier Supervisor

About the role

The Arts Club Dubai is seeking a Sommelier Supervisor to support the Head and Assistant Head Sommelier in delivering an exceptional wine experience for members and guests. This role oversees daily wine service operations, guides the sommelier team, and ensures the club’s high standards of quality and service are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing wine sales and revenue across the restaurant’s beverage operation.
• Control stock, wine orders, listings, par levels, corked wines, wastage and comps.
• Review sales data to maintain optimal stock rotation and profitability.
• Keep the wine list current with accurate vintages.
• Handle wine‑related requests, enquiries and complaints.
• Monitor glassware condition and manage inventory.
• Contribute to the restaurant’s wine marketing strategy in collaboration with other departments.
• Support cost‑control initiatives through efficient use of resources.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within luxury hotels or fine‑dining restaurants.
• Internationally recognised professional wine certification.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and team‑leadership abilities.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and a proactive improvement mindset.
• Ability to work long shifts and stand for extended periods.
