Sourcing and Purchasing Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sourcing and Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement function at Azizi Foods in Abu Dhabi. The role will drive strategic sourcing, manage supplier relationships, and ensure material availability to support production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall operational and budgetary aspects of the sourcing and purchasing department.
• Develop planning and strategies aligned with the company’s strategic development goals.
• Establish sourcing and purchasing policies and systems to ensure compliance.
• Analyze market and industry trends to assess risk and identify supply‑base issues, seeking alternatives when needed.
• Lead the sourcing and purchasing team while collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to meet production targets.
• Conduct supplier evaluation and assessment.
• Oversee materials control, ensuring delivery and quality meet company specifications.
• Negotiate vendor pricing, business terms, and product conditions.
• Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of purchasing experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Background in a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics or automotive.
• Excellent negotiation abilities and effective communication with technical stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
