Sous Chef – Farriers Restaurant

About the role

The Sous Chef will support the Chef De Cuisine in daily operations of Farriers Restaurant, delivering consistent quality and a memorable dining experience for guests at The Meydan Hotel.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef De Cuisine in managing day‑to‑day kitchen activities.
• Supervise, train and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high performance.
• Ensure every dish meets established taste, presentation and portion standards.
• Monitor food safety, sanitation and hygiene compliance.
• Contribute to menu planning, recipe development and costing.
• Control inventory, ordering and proper storage of ingredients.
• Minimise waste and manage kitchen costs effectively.
• Step in for the Chef De Cuisine during absences to keep service uninterrupted.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in a high‑volume restaurant.
• Strong culinary foundation with proven ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of Lebanese cuisine and a passion for authentic flavors.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Good communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
