Specialist Engineer & Architect – AI Solutions

About the role

Globant is looking for a Specialist Engineer & Architect to lead the design and delivery of AI‑driven solutions for banking clients. You will work with a global team to build advanced multi‑agent systems, ensure strict policy compliance, and create scalable, cloud‑native services that power intelligent digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the AI CFO super‑agent, specialist sub‑agents, intent classification pipelines, and session memory.
• Implement deterministic policy enforcement via a Tool Gateway that validates all LLM‑generated actions against banking regulations.
• Develop end‑to‑end Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including ingestion, vector indexing, and retrieval optimization.
• Build continuous AI evaluation frameworks to detect regressions and hallucinations before production release.
• Engineer containerised, stateless microservices on Kubernetes for high concurrency and horizontal scaling.
• Optimize LLM inference layers with token budgeting, streaming responses, prompt caching, and model fallbacks.
• Create real‑time event streaming pipelines using Kafka/AWS MSK and implement observability with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Integrate AI platforms with core banking systems, enforcing mTLS, OAuth 2.0, secret rotation, and robust transaction safety nets.
• Lead engineering standards, mentor teams, and oversee release quality across multiple delivery pods.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and deploying AI‑centric architectures in a banking or regulated environment.
• Strong background in cloud‑native development, microservices, and container orchestration.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and establish engineering best practices.
