Specialist HSE Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Specialist HSE Engineer to lead health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) activities for a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe delivery, compliance with HSSE targets and supports the handover of the project to the owner.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and lead a team of HSE professionals.
• Develop, implement and monitor HSE plans, procedures and emergency response plans.
• Track HSSEQ performance, analyse incidents and report trends.
• Coordinate HSE input during EPC phase and ensure design compliance with legal and owner standards.
• Manage PTW system, gas testing, H2S and breathing apparatus requirements.
• Ensure tender documents include HSE standards for subcontractors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE management within EPC or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and management systems.
• Ability to lead and develop HSE teams.
• Excellent English communication, both written and verbal.
