About the role

The Specialist Physician in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides high‑quality, evidence‑based, patient‑centred care to critically ill patients at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City in Abu Dhabi. The role requires the physician to act as a clinical leader within the ICU, setting standards for care and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive ICU care following best clinical practices, ensuring timely interventions and continuous monitoring.
• Maintain clinical excellence by adhering to evidence‑based treatment protocols and delivering patient‑centred care.
• Supervise, mentor and train junior medical staff within the ICU division, contributing to their professional development.

Required profile

• Qualified physician with specialist accreditation in intensive care or critical care medicine.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient‑centred care and clinical excellence.
• Experience in supervising and teaching junior healthcare professionals.
