Specialist Physician – Neonatology

About the role

SSMC is seeking a compassionate Specialist Physician in Neonatology to deliver high‑quality primary care to newborn patients and their families. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of neonatal conditions while providing guidance on preventive health measures.

Key responsibilities

• Examine neonates, take detailed medical histories, and address patient and family concerns.
• Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and disorders specific to newborns.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, communicating results clearly.
• Develop and explain treatment plans, prescribing medications or therapies as needed.
• Provide counseling on nutrition, hygiene, and preventive healthcare for infants.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, refer to specialists when required, and ensure compliance with medical regulations.

Required profile

• Medical degree with successful completion of residency and internship.
• Valid state license and certification to practice medicine.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Leadership, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills.
