Specialist Piping Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Specialist Piping Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. The role involves leading the mechanical (piping) discipline, ensuring design compliance, and supporting project safety culture across complex energy and resources projects.

Key responsibilities

• Champion project safety culture and engagement activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve piping engineering issues.
• Review and approve contractor deliverables, including equipment design, system layouts, material testing, specifications, calculations, and vendor drawings.
• Attend technical meetings with owners, licensors, contractors, and vendors.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC contractor mechanical design and system integration.
• Supervise review and approval processes to meet codes, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate engineering participation in design option analysis and business model development.

Required profile

• Strong background in piping and mechanical design engineering.
• Experience with EPC contracts and multidisciplinary project environments.
• Ability to interpret and enforce design requirements, licensor PDPs, and industry codes.
• Excellent technical communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
