Specialist Procurement Engineer – Offshore Project

About the role

KBR is seeking a Specialist Procurement Engineer to lead procurement activities for a major offshore water injection facility. The role is based in Abu Dhabi, with an interim relocation to Spain before returning to the UAE. You will ensure timely acquisition of equipment, materials and services while adhering to project specifications, budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project procurement plans, sourcing strategies and purchasing schedules for major equipment packages and bulk materials.
• Prepare RFQs, ITBs and commercial bid evaluations, coordinating with engineering disciplines to create technical bid packages.
• Conduct supplier pre‑qualification, market assessments and vendor performance evaluations.
• Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, delivery schedules, warranties and payment conditions.
• Review and negotiate procurement contracts and purchase orders, managing variation orders, claims and commercial risks.
• Monitor procurement progress, provide regular status reports and ensure alignment with project milestones.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement for offshore or large‑scale engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, commercial contracts and supplier management.
• Ability to work closely with engineering, construction, logistics and project management teams.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
