Specialist Static Equipment Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Specialist Static Equipment Engineer to lead the design, specification and procurement of static equipment for major oil & gas and petrochemical projects in Abu Dhabi. The role will provide technical leadership across FEED, EPC and detailed engineering phases, ensuring compliance with ADNOC and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead static equipment engineering activities throughout FEED, EPC and detailed design stages.
• Develop and review equipment datasheets, specifications, material requisitions and vendor documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with ADNOC standards and codes such as ASME, API, TEMA and ASTM.
• Coordinate with process, piping, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation and procurement disciplines.
• Review and approve vendor drawings, calculations, manufacturing procedures and inspection requirements.
• Support constructability reviews, value‑engineering studies and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Mentor and supervise a team of specialists, senior engineers and engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas or petrochemical static equipment engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar senior role, preferably within the GCC region.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
