Sports Coordinator

About the role

The Sports Coordinator will represent the sporting and recreation interests of current and future students at a semi‑government university in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on creating a vibrant, dynamic sports programme that encourages participation and enhances student life.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and coordinate a wide range of sports and recreational activities for the university community.
• Collaborate with academic and facilities teams to schedule events, secure venues and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Promote sports programmes through effective communication channels to maximise student engagement.
• Monitor and evaluate programme performance, gathering feedback to continuously improve offerings.
• Maintain records of participation, equipment inventory and incident reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in sports coordination, recreation management or a related area.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fitness instructor certification.
• CPR/First Aid instructor certificate.
• Preferably a UAE national.
