Staff Nurse – Cardiac ICU (CICU) – Tower B4

About the role

The Staff Nurse in Tower B4 of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) provides comprehensive, patient‑centred nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients. You will coordinate care, educate patients and families, and ensure smooth transitions across the care continuum while upholding SSMC’s mission, vision and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive assessment data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to determine patient diagnoses and issues.
• Develop, document and regularly update individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement evidence‑based interventions, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to organizational policies.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all care activities, modifications and outcomes in the patient’s health record.
• Communicate relevant clinical information across all levels of care and maintain continuity with other healthcare providers.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE and familiar with the Nursing Scope of Practice.
• Commitment to the Professional Nurses Code of Conduct for Abu Dhabi and UAE.
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for cardiac intensive care patients.
• Strong patient‑focused attitude with excellent communication and education skills.
