Staff Nurse – OPD Surgical ENT Clinic

About the role

The Staff Nurse will provide coordinated nursing care in the OPD Surgical ENT Clinic, delivering direct patient care, education, and supporting smooth transitions across the care continuum. The role aligns with SSMC’s mission, vision, and professional nursing standards in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyse comprehensive patient data (physical, psychosocial, emotional, cognitive, spiritual) to identify diagnoses and potential risks.
• Develop and document culturally appropriate, evidence‑based care plans with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Implement care plans, perform treatments and procedures, and administer medications according to established protocols.
• Continuously reassess patient response, modify care plans as needed, and ensure accurate documentation in the health record.
• Communicate relevant information across all levels of care and maintain a working knowledge of available resources.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a surgical outpatient setting.
• Commitment to professional nursing conduct and adherence to the Abu Dhabi and UAE Code of Conduct.
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
