Stakeholder Engineer

About the role

WSP is looking for an experienced Stakeholder Engineer to support the delivery of infrastructure and development projects across Dubai. The role combines technical awareness with deep knowledge of local stakeholder landscapes, approval processes and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement stakeholder management strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Act as the primary liaison between WSP project teams and Dubai authorities, utilities and master developers.
• Manage stakeholder engagement throughout all project phases, from concept to handover.
• Coordinate and secure approvals, NOCs, permits and technical clearances.
• Lead stakeholder meetings, workshops and technical coordination sessions, documenting actions and tracking resolutions.
• Identify stakeholder risks and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies.
• Maintain stakeholder registers, approval trackers and correspondence logs.
• Provide regular reporting on stakeholder status, risks and progress to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Infrastructure, Transportation or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably on Dubai‑based projects.
• Proven experience managing stakeholder engagement and approval processes in Dubai.
• Strong understanding of local authority standards, guidelines and submission procedures.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously.
