Stewarding Shift Leader

About the role

We are seeking a Stewarding Shift Leader to oversee the cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas at our hotel. The role involves managing a team of stewards, ensuring efficient washing of dishes, utensils and equipment, and maintaining high hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the stewarding team during each shift.
• Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils and tableware are cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and submit purchase requests as needed.
• Train new stewards on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with cleanliness standards.
• Handle customer complaints and feedback related to cleanliness.
• Implement and enforce hygiene and safety regulations in the kitchen area.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar stewarding role, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Strong leadership and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sanitation and hygiene regulations.
• Familiarity with inventory management for cleaning supplies.
