Structural Design Engineer – Dubai

About the role

The Structural Design Engineer will support the Senior Structural Design Engineer in delivering safe, efficient and cost‑effective structural solutions for building and infrastructure projects across Dubai. The role involves preparing analysis, design calculations, drawings and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with UAE codes and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and executing structural design projects from concept through construction.
• Prepare structural analysis, design calculations, reports and detailed drawings for various projects.
• Develop economical structural solutions that meet project specifications and applicable design codes.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
• Review structural and shop drawings, material submittals and RFIs for compliance.
• Provide technical support and engineering clarifications to site teams during construction.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that works follow approved designs.
• Assist in evaluating site conditions and preparing design revisions or value‑engineering proposals.
• Prepare design reports, calculations and documentation for project submissions and approvals.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and ensure timely delivery of design deliverables.

Required profile

• Practice Engineer certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4–6 years of structural design and construction experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
• Familiarity with UAE construction practices, municipality procedures and authority requirements.
