Structural Engineer – Site Supervision (Bridges & Underpass)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to supervise the construction of bridges, viaducts and related underpass works in the UAE. Reporting to the Resident Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring design compliance, quality standards and safety on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising bridge and viaduct construction activities.
• Review shop drawings, design proposals and method statements, preparing formal replies.
• Coordinate with Parsons design engineers to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain daily diaries, inspection reports and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Schedule resources with contractor engineers and monitor inspector and surveyor performance.
• Chair meetings with authorities, contractors and subcontractors to address project matters.
• Oversee implementation of safety procedures and achieve safety targets.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and support issuance of site instructions.

Required profile

• At least 10 years (120 months) of experience in structural engineering and construction supervision.
• Proven ability to work on large‑scale bridge and underpass projects.
• Strong coordination and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams.
