Structural Inspector (Site supervision)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Structural Inspector to join AECOM’s Abu Dhabi team. The role focuses on site supervision, ensuring that all structural works comply with UAE building codes and safety standards while maintaining high quality assurance throughout the construction phase.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough structural inspections of buildings and construction sites, assessing integrity and compliance with applicable codes.
• Supervise on‑site activities, monitor progress, and verify adherence to structural specifications and design requirements.
• Document inspection findings, defects, and non‑conformities with detailed reports and photographic evidence.
• Analyze structural components and materials for quality, safety, and compliance with UAE and international standards.
• Identify potential structural issues and recommend corrective actions to project management and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve structural concerns and ensure timely remediation.
• Maintain organized inspection records, documentation, and data for future reference.

Required profile

• Minimum six years (72 months) of experience in structural inspection or related field.
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently on site and communicate findings clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with UAE building codes and international best practices.
