Structural Manager

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Structural Manager to lead steel construction projects in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality structural steel works while ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all on‑site structural steel erection and fabrication activities, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of steel workers, inspectors and support staff.
• Conduct daily site inspections, quality control checks and welding verification to guarantee structural integrity.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, progress reports and documentation.
• Implement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols in line with UAE regulations and international standards.
• Identify technical challenges, propose solutions and keep projects on budget and on time.
• Coordinate with design engineers, project managers and clients to resolve technical issues.
• Manage equipment, machinery and material inventory to optimise resource use and minimise waste.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large‑scale structural steel construction projects.
• Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of UAE construction safety regulations and international standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
