Structures Deputy Discipline Manager

About the role

Subsea7 is seeking a Structures Deputy Discipline Manager to lead the development of the Structures discipline across the Middle East. The role will support the Global Projects Centre and ensure technical competence for studies, tenders and project execution while fostering a strong HSEQ culture.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and implement GPC engineering standards, processes, tools and digitalisation within the region.
• Manage discipline services and resources to support projects, tenders and studies.
• Act as the primary technical contact for projects and tenders, providing support across regions.
• Ensure compliance with engineering policies, industry codes, standards, client specifications and project budgets.
• Identify, mitigate and manage technical risks and participate in project reviews.
• Lead knowledge‑management activities, sharing lessons learned and best practices.
• Oversee direct reports, participate in performance and development processes, and support the Graduate Engineer Development Scheme.

Required profile

• Proven experience in offshore or subsea structures engineering and discipline management.
• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards and design guides.
• Ability to coordinate multi‑regional teams and collaborate with global functions.
• Commitment to safety, HSEQ standards and continuous improvement.
• Leadership experience, including managing staff and supporting development programmes.
