Student Counsellor

About the role

GEMS Founders School – Dubai South is seeking a Student Counsellor to join the team from August 2026. The role supports the wellbeing and academic progress of students while collaborating closely with parents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide counselling and guidance to students on personal, social and academic matters.
• Maintain regular communication with parents to address concerns and share progress.
• Work alongside teachers and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
• Participate actively in extra‑curricular programmes and community‑based events.
• Uphold the school’s core values of Grow, Flourish, Discover in daily interactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Counselling or Psychology.
• 3–4 years of experience in a similar counselling role.
• Creative, enthusiastic approach both inside and outside the classroom.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with students, parents and colleagues.
• Willingness to contribute positively to school culture and community activities.
