Superintendent - Construction (Lifting)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Superintendent to lead all lifting and hauling activities on site. The role involves planning, scheduling and executing lifts with a strong focus on safety, environmental excellence and efficient resource utilisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare lifting plans, manpower and equipment forecasts.
• Execute and manage daily crane and lifting operations.
• Develop lift and haul schedules and optimise resource utilisation.
• Provide leadership and guidance to site teams and subcontractors for safe lifting.
• Support the creation of method statements and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Conduct daily site audits to ensure HSE and lifting procedure compliance.
• Review and approve lift plans, rigging procedures and subcontractor lift studies.
• Maintain lifting equipment inspection, certification and regulatory compliance.
• Train rigging personnel and maintain competency records.

Required profile

• Qualified person for load‑out, load‑in, hauling and erection activities using lifting equipment.
• Proven ability to lead site teams and subcontractors in safe lifting operations.
• Strong understanding of HSE standards and defect/incident reporting.
• Experience in developing lift schedules and method statements.
