Synthetic Flight Instructor

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Synthetic Flight Instructor to deliver high‑quality simulator and ground training for its flight crew. You will work in a GCAA‑approved environment, ensuring pilots meet regulatory standards and maintain operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver simulator and ground training according to approved lesson plans, courseware, and GCAA requirements.
• Conduct programmes for pilot transition, recurrent training, and type‑rating qualifications.
• Monitor pilot performance, provide coaching, and recommend remedial actions when needed.
• Maintain accurate training records, reports, and documentation in line with regulatory and company policies.
• Adapt instructional techniques to optimise learning outcomes for individual pilots.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of training programmes, lesson plans, and courseware.
• Escalate performance concerns, training deficiencies, or operational risks to Crew Training Management.

Required profile

• Qualified as a Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) and/or Synthetic Flight Examiner (SFE).
• Current or previously held Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) for the relevant aircraft category.
• Minimum 1,500 flight hours on multi‑pilot aircraft.
• Strong knowledge of GCAA regulatory requirements and Etihad training standards.
