Technical Design Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Design Manager to lead the technical design function for a leading interior fit‑out contractor in Dubai. The role focuses on design coordination, technical detailing and ensuring that all design outputs are constructible and aligned with the approved design intent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a technical design team, including CAD and detailing resources.
• Coordinate with external architects, interior designers, consultants and project stakeholders.
• Review, consolidate and verify design information, shop drawings and technical documentation received from consultants.
• Identify and resolve design clashes, discrepancies and technical issues throughout construction.
• Work closely with project managers, site and commercial teams to align design outputs with project delivery schedules.
• Ensure construction and installation follow approved drawings, specifications and design intent.
• Mentor team members and monitor the quality and accuracy of all technical deliverables.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in interior fit‑out or contracting environments.
• Proven track record of managing technical design teams and delivering coordinated design packages.
• Strong understanding of constructability, design coordination and resolution of RFIs.
