Technical Director – Client Solutions

About the role

As a Technical Director you will be the technology leader for strategic client accounts, owning the end‑to‑end success and quality of solution delivery. You will work closely with delivery and sales leaders to ensure clients go live smoothly and continue to scale with confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Take full technical ownership of client accounts from pre‑sales through implementation, production readiness and post‑go‑live evolution.
• Define and drive the client’s technical strategy using your product expertise.
• Advocate the client internally, bringing the voice of the customer to Backbase teams.
• Identify opportunities for better product adoption and align client requirements with the R&D roadmap.
• Collaborate with Technical Support, Product Engineering and Project Implementation to ensure successful deployments.
• Partner with delivery leaders to create balanced delivery plans that meet time‑to‑market and quality goals.
• Ensure technical quality and compliance with platform best practices across all squads.
• Act as the technical face of Backbase in senior stakeholder conversations, from engineering teams to CIO‑level discussions.
• Provide hands‑on support when needed, unblock technical issues and lead Architecture Review Boards.

Required profile

• Proven technical leader with breadth and depth to drive solution design and handle complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage both deep‑technical audiences and senior executives.
• Hands‑on mindset, willing to dive into details and support squads directly.
• Strong influence skills to guide engineering leaders and raise engineering standards.
