Technical Director – Data Centre MEP

About the role

Egis is expanding its data centre capability across the UAE and the wider MESA region. The Technical Director will set technical standards, lead major bids and act as the senior authority for mission‑critical MEP projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and sign‑off authority across all data centre projects in the region.
• Define and maintain MEP/ELV design standards and delivery frameworks for mission‑critical work.
• Lead technical input on major bids and proposals across the MESA region.
• Build and mentor a specialist data‑centre team within a 400+ strong MEP/ELV practice.
• Engage with clients, hyperscalers, EPCs and authorities at Director level.
• Drive innovation across BIM, parametric design and AI‑assisted workflows.

Required profile

• 15+ years of MEP engineering experience, with a significant portion in data‑centre or mission‑critical environments.
• Experience at Technical Director, Associate Director or equivalent level.
• Degree‑qualified with Chartered Engineer status (CEng or regional equivalent).
• Strong commercial awareness of fee negotiation, scope definition and risk management.
• GCC experience preferred; UAE track record a strong advantage.
