Technician - Digital Delivery

About the role

AECOM is seeking a skilled Technician – Digital Delivery to produce and maintain technical drawings for infrastructure projects in Dubai. You will translate engineering inputs into accurate construction documents and ensure they meet local authority and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and archive technical drawings, layouts, and as‑built documentation using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Interpret design inputs from engineers and convert them into coordinated construction drawings.
• Review and update drawings to comply with project specifications, RTA, DM, DEWA requirements, and AECOM quality standards.
• Track existing sewerage, stormwater, and irrigation networks using as‑built records from drainage, irrigation, and road projects.
• Conduct site surveys, coordinate with inspectors, and collect data for accurate as‑built documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and document control teams to ensure timely submission and approval of drawings.
• Produce redline markups, section details, pipeline profiles, and micro‑tunneling shaft layouts based on field data.
• Review contractors’ as‑built and shop drawing submissions for compliance with site conditions.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in drafting or civil engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of drafting experience in sewerage, drainage, irrigation, or related utility works, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of local authority standards (RTA, DM, DEWA) and AECOM CAD standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MicroStation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Competence with Windows operating system.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Familiarity with internet‑based collaboration tools.
