Tendering Engineer – Electrical Panels & Switchgear

About the role

The Tendering Engineer will prepare technical and commercial proposals for electrical panels and switchgear, ensuring that all submissions meet customer requirements, project specifications, and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFQs, ITTs, EPC inquiries and customer specifications.
• Analyse technical documents such as single‑line diagrams, load lists, datasheets and electrical specifications.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for LV switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, distribution boards, capacitor banks, VFD panels, synchronization panels and control panels.
• Develop compliance statements, technical deviations and clarifications.
• Generate detailed cost estimates and Bills of Materials using approved pricing inputs.
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to obtain and review vendor quotations.
• Conduct technical compliance reviews against customer, consultant, utility and international standards.
• Identify technical risks, raise clarifications and participate in bid clarification meetings.
• Collaborate with sales, design, procurement and client teams throughout the tendering process.
• Maintain accurate tender records, estimation files and related documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience preparing tenders for electrical equipment and switchgear.
• Ability to interpret single‑line diagrams, load lists and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Capability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
