About the role
The Tennis Coach will lead the university’s tennis program, reporting directly to the Athletic Director. This full‑time position is responsible for the overall organization, performance, and development of the team.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, conduct, and evaluate practices, workouts, and competitions.
- Recruit, scout, and sign talented athletes.
- Coordinate travel, scheduling, and budgeting for the program.
- Monitor athlete academic progress and ensure compliance with eligibility standards.
- Organize and manage camps, clinics, and home competitions.
- Promote the team and athletic department through outreach and events.
- Assist University Relations with media and community engagement.
- Recruit, hire, and supervise assistant coaches.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years experience as a competitive tennis player.
- At least 1 year of coaching experience in a competitive program.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment and with individuals with disabilities.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
