Third Party Inspector – Piping & Welding QA/QC

About the role

Orbit International Survey Services (Orbit ISS) is seeking a qualified Third Party Inspector (TPI) with strong experience in piping fabrication, welding inspection, and quality assurance for oil & gas, marine and industrial projects. The role involves independent inspection activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved procedures and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform material receiving, fit‑up, welding and final inspections for piping and fabrication work.
• Review fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, P&IDs, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Witness and verify NDT activities, hydrotests and other testing procedures as required.
• Coordinate inspection schedules and approvals with clients, third‑party agencies and project teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards such as ASME, API, AWS and ISO.
• Prepare inspection reports, punch lists and maintain quality records.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC inspection experience in oil & gas, fabrication or EPC projects.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, ISO standards and NDT methods.
• CSWIP/AWS or equivalent inspection certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication, reporting and coordination abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work on international assignments.
