Timing Executive

About the role

The Timing Executive is responsible for delivering accurate and seamless timing services for mass‑participation sporting events such as swimming, cycling, running and triathlon. Reporting to the Timing Manager, the role ensures the Gulf Multi Sport brand is recognised for precision and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end timing delivery for allocated events, guaranteeing accuracy and efficiency.
• Program, operate and maintain advanced timing systems to provide reliable results.
• Oversee the setup, testing and breakdown of timing equipment on‑site.
• Troubleshoot technical or operational issues under pressure.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve timing accuracy.
• Ensure all timing activities comply with health, safety and local regulations.
• Collaborate with event organisers, volunteers and partners to ensure smooth event execution.

Required profile

• 3–5 years experience organising or delivering sports, cultural or large‑scale live events, preferably mass‑participation.
• Strong technical knowledge of computer systems and programming.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable, creative and able to remain calm in dynamic situations.
• Passion for sport and community‑focused events.
• Valid UAE driver’s licence (manual) and access to a personal vehicle.
