Trainee – Air Traffic Controller (UAE Nationals Only)

About the role

This trainee program is designed to develop future Air Traffic Control Officers for Dubai Air Navigation Services. Selected candidates will undergo intensive training, familiarisation and assessment to qualify for a professional ATC position.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a structured training curriculum covering air traffic control theory and practical skills.
• Complete all required assessments, examinations and simulations to achieve certification.
• Collaborate with instructors and senior controllers to ensure safe and efficient airspace management.

Required profile

• Age between 19 and 27 years at the start of training.
• UAE national holding a valid family book (Khalasat Al Qaid).
• Minimum high school certificate with English, Mathematics and preferably Physics.
• Strong command of English (IELTS 5.5+ or EmSAT‑English 1250+).
• Medical fitness to pass a GCAA Level 3 examination.
• Male candidates must have completed national service.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English (written, oral and comprehension).
