Tray Fitter – Electrical Installation

About the role

The Tray Fitter (Electrical) will join GCG Engineering Services to install and maintain cable tray systems across industrial projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves on‑site work, coordination with electricians and HVAC technicians, and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install ladder, perforated, and solid‑bottom cable trays according to approved drawings.
• Cut, bend, drill, and assemble tray components on site.
• Fix supports, hangers, brackets, and structural steel for tray installations.
• Read and interpret HVAC/mechanical drawings and layout plans.
• Ensure proper alignment, leveling, and routing of tray systems.
• Coordinate with electricians, HVAC technicians, and site engineers.
• Follow site safety rules, permits, and toolbox talks.
• Maintain tools, materials, and equipment in good condition.
• Assist with installation of accessories such as bends, tees, reducers, and risers.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC/MEP/electrical installation works.
• ITI or relevant technical education.
• Prior experience on construction projects, preferably with tray installation.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and site layouts.
• Physically fit for work at heights and confined spaces.
• Willingness to work in remote, offshore, or desert locations as required.
