Tunnel Engineer (TBM Specialist Survey Engineer)

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Tunnel Engineer with a focus on TBM specialist surveying to support tunnel and gallery construction in Dubai. The role involves supervising survey activities, ensuring alignment with design specifications, and maintaining safety and schedule compliance during TBM operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily and weekly survey reports, including trend analysis of alignment deviations.
• Monitor TBM tunneling operations, perform alignment checks, and conduct surface monitoring for settlement and heave.
• Establish and maintain primary and secondary control networks inside the tunnel and transfer surface control points through shafts.
• Review and calculate TBM guidance data, laser target extensions, and alignment inputs.
• Support breakthrough preparations, 3D measurements, wriggle and as‑built surveys, and documentation of critical zones.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings, method statements, and survey‑related documents.

Required profile

• Proven experience on metro tunnel projects, preferably with TBM operations.
• Strong understanding of tunnel surveying standards, safety regulations, and construction timelines.
• Ability to work onsite in Dubai and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
