Van Salesman

About the role

The Van Salesman is responsible for executing daily sales and delivery activities across assigned routes, ensuring product availability, timely deliveries, and strong customer service within Traditional Trade outlets. This role combines field sales, merchandising, and logistics to support the growth of Al Islami frozen food products.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily sales and delivery activities across assigned routes to achieve sales and distribution targets.
• Generate orders from outlets, ensure accurate invoicing and timely product delivery.
• Maintain product availability, visibility, and proper merchandising of Al Islami items.
• Implement FIFO stock rotation, monitor freshness, and report damaged or near‑expiry products.
• Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Identify new sales opportunities and expand outlet coverage within the territory.
• Handle, transport, and store frozen food while maintaining cold‑chain standards.
• Reconcile van stock, sales, returns, and collections accurately.
• Monitor competitor activity, customer feedback, and market conditions, reporting to the Senior Executive.
• Keep the assigned vehicle clean, organized, and maintained according to safety standards.
• Follow approved route plans, delivery schedules, and company procedures.
• Comply with hygiene, safety, and frozen‑food handling policies.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience in van sales, distribution, or FMCG field sales.
• Experience in frozen food or perishable product categories is preferred.
• UAE market experience within Traditional Trade is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence is mandatory.
• Basic English communication skills; additional languages (Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam) are a plus.
