VAT Internship

About the role

Support the VAT team in delivering high‑quality VAT compliance services for a diverse portfolio of clients across sectors such as financial services, real estate, FMCG and hospitality. The intern will research UAE VAT legislation, monitor developments and assist senior staff with return workings, reconciliations and refund applications.

Key responsibilities

• Research UAE VAT legislation, FTA clarifications and ministerial decisions to support client matters.
• Prepare VAT return workings, reconciliations and refund applications under supervision.
• Review accounting records, tax invoices and supporting documents to identify VAT treatment issues.
• Assist with VAT registration, deregistration, amendment applications and other FTA portal requests.
• Maintain organized VAT working papers, trackers and documentation in line with firm quality standards.
• Coordinate with engagement teams to follow up on client information and meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Recently completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, law or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of UAE VAT legislation and executive regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical and financial information.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
