Voyage Manager I

About the role

The Voyage Manager I will support safe and cost‑efficient operations of Bahri Chemicals vessels. You will analyse daily performance, drive improvements and ensure best practices across the voyage lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Voyage Management team with monitoring voyage progress, KPIs and vessel performance.
• Prepare and process voyage orders, vessel scheduling, and all related documentation.
• Liaise with ship masters, agents and handle demurrage claims and routine operational duties.
• Ensure timely berth scheduling and accurate departure/arrival information.
• Provide chartering personnel, ship managers and port agents with up‑to‑date voyage data.
• Monitor vessel vetting status, enforce compliance with charter party obligations and update operational systems with port timings, cargo nominations and loads.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with agents and service providers.
• Support the team by resolving queries, delivering on‑the‑job technical training and leading multidisciplinary initiatives.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or equivalent in Transportation, Logistics, Maritime Studies or a related commercial shipping field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in chartering or commercial shipping, preferably with chemical tankers.
