VP Data Management – Non‑Credit Risk

About the role

The Vice President of Data Management – Non‑Credit Risk will lead the delivery of independent data validation and assessment activities for critical data elements and regulatory reports. Reporting to the SVP & Head of Data Validation & Assessment, the role ensures rigorous oversight while remaining separate from first‑line data production and remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the SVP in translating the DVA mandate into detailed validation plans, schedules, evidence requirements and governance reporting.
• Coordinate and monitor the delivery of CDE validation and report validation activities, ensuring timely completion and quality review.
• Prioritise validation work based on report criticality, regulatory relevance, risk impact and emerging data themes.
• Oversee independent validation of CDE identification, scoring, documentation, ownership assignment and governance evidence.
• Challenge CDE relevance, business impact, control design evidence, lineage and documentation completeness.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience (VP or equivalent) in data validation, regulatory reporting and BCBS 239 compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a second‑line, independent oversight function.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder‑management skills across data owners, sponsors and governance bodies.
