About the role
Shanahan Engineering is seeking an experienced Welding Engineer for an immediate assignment in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role involves providing technical support and oversight for welding activities, procedures, qualifications and quality requirements throughout project execution.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical support and oversight for welding activities, procedures, qualifications and quality requirements across the project.
- Identify and resolve welding‑related technical and quality issues to ensure compliance with project standards.
Required profile
- Minimum 12 years of relevant welding engineering experience.
- IWE or CWE certification is mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of WPS, PQR and welder qualification requirements.
- Previous experience on UAE projects is highly advantageous.
- Availability for immediate mobilisation on a 6‑month to 1‑year contract.
