Wet Utilities Engineer – Infrastructure

About the role

Khatib & Alami is looking for an experienced Wet Utilities Engineer to join its Consultancy Supervision Team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on supervising and monitoring wet‑utility works for major infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and Abu Dhabi authority regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor wet utility construction activities in line with approved drawings, specifications and authority standards.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and inspection requests related to wet utilities.
• Inspect installation of water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation and associated networks.
• Verify pipe materials, fittings, valves, chambers and other components against approved submittals.
• Coordinate with design engineers and contractors to resolve design discrepancies and technical queries.
• Respond to RFIs, inspection requests and method statements within the wet‑utilities scope.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify non‑conforming works and support NCR issuance and close‑out.
• Monitor testing activities such as pressure testing, leakage testing, CCTV inspection, flushing and disinfection.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising wet‑utility works on large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of water, sewerage, irrigation, stormwater and related utility networks.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, clients and Abu Dhabi authorities.
