Account Director – Senior Client Partner

About the role

You’re an experienced client partner and team leader who knows how to grow great accounts, build genuinely strong client relationships and lead teams that deliver brilliant work. You’re commercially sharp, strategically minded and comfortable operating independently.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow a portfolio of key accounts, spotting upsell and cross‑sell opportunities, developing strategic account plans, generating leads, leading pitches and securing new business while managing revenue, margins, scope, budgets and contracts.
• Build long‑term relationships with senior stakeholders, lead strategic discussions and quarterly presentations, and provide insights, benchmarks, ideas and forward‑looking recommendations.
• Mentor and develop Account Managers and the wider account team, maintaining high standards and ensuring the quality of work delivered to clients.
• Stay ahead of social, digital, technology and creative trends, translate them into actionable ideas, lead innovation workshops and thought‑leadership initiatives.
• Maintain commercial and operational health by using CRM and reporting systems, monitoring opportunities, revenue and performance metrics, and proactively solving issues.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of account management experience, preferably in a social‑first, creative, innovation or tech‑driven agency.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the confidence to spot opportunities, grow portfolios and win new business.
• Strong strategic thinking and deep understanding of digital platforms, social trends and creative innovation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially with senior stakeholders.
• Commercial capability across budgeting, forecasting, scopes, contracts and negotiations.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple high‑value accounts and diverse teams while maintaining quality.
• Natural relationship‑building ability to become a trusted advisor to clients.
