Accountant – AP & Fixed Assets (Hospitality, UAE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage end‑to‑end Accounts Payable and Fixed Asset processes within a hospitality environment in the UAE. The role will support month‑end close, audit activities and finance transformation projects, including ERP implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, maintain vendor master data and reconcile vendor statements.
• Handle supplier queries and disputes to ensure timely payments and accurate records.
• Capitalize, depreciate, transfer and dispose of fixed assets; conduct physical verification and provide audit support.
• Record, reconcile and validate intercompany transactions across group entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation and approvals.
• Maintain accrual and prepayment schedules for accurate period‑end reporting.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities through reconciliations, adjustments and reporting.
• Provide schedules, reconciliations and documents for internal and external audits.
• Review open purchase orders and supplier advances with SCM teams.
• Perform VAT input/output reconciliations and ensure compliance with indirect tax regulations.
• Participate in ERP implementations, system integrations and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Finance/Commerce graduate or MBA‑Finance.
• 4‑7 years of relevant experience in the UAE, preferably in the hospitality sector.
• Mandatory experience in hospitality accounting.
• Proven exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and intermediate competency in MS Excel automation.
• Good understanding of VAT compliance and fixed‑asset accounting processes.
• Team‑oriented, detail‑focused, able to meet deadlines and communicate effectively.
