Accountant (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Finance department of Ermenegildo Zegna is looking for an Accountant who is fluent in Arabic to support its operations in the United Arab Emirates. The role involves analysing financial data, ensuring compliance with internal controls and preparing regular financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and document controls defined in the ICFR framework, retaining supporting evidence for each control.
• Validate that invoices and documents are correctly classified under statutory and management accounts.
• Reconcile temporary account groups and ensure accurate posting to the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Maintain the liquidity planner, update receipts and payments, and prepare weekly payments.
• Communicate retail fee values to headquarters and verify data imported into BPC (RIS/CSIS).
• Close the Material Ledger each month, ensuring no negative stocks and that purchase invoices are fully booked.
• Reconcile variances between statutory and management accounts, including inventory and depreciation.
• Prepare and upload monthly P&L and Balance Sheet via the Zegna system and produce reports for the Head of Finance and Operations.

Required profile

• Fluency in Arabic.
• Minimum of 36 months (3 years) relevant accounting experience.
• Understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the SOX Act.
• Experience with Zegna systems.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
