Accountant – Budgeting & Forecasting (Dubai)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accountant specialized in budgeting and forecasting to join our finance team in Dubai. The role involves leading the full budgeting cycle, producing accurate forecasts and providing actionable insights to support strategic decisions across multiple operational units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end budgeting and forecasting processes, including annual budgets, quarterly and rolling forecasts.
• Develop and maintain financial models for scenario planning and long‑term projections.
• Perform variance analysis, identify key drivers and present insights to management.
• Collaborate with mining, processing, engineering, maintenance and export departments to integrate operational data into financial forecasts.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and presentations on budget performance and forecast updates.
• Ensure data accuracy in Microsoft Dynamics and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Incorporate tax, intercompany and regulatory considerations into planning models.
• Continuously improve forecasting methodologies and tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, budgeting or financial analysis, preferably in industrial, mining or manufacturing environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear business recommendations.
• Solid understanding of cost structures, revenue modeling and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP accounting principles.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling, dashboards and data analysis.
