Accountant – Finance & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team and report directly to the CFO. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management reports and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Assist the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and on time.
• Monitor bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and prepare VAT filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist during internal and external audits.
• Support payroll processing and expense management.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Analyse financial data and provide recommendations to improve financial performance and cost control.
• Ensure adherence to company financial policies and procedures.
• Assist with ERP/accounting system updates and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and financial regulations.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA or CMA are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
