Accountant – Food & Beverage (Al Ain)

About the role

Ritual Cafe is looking for a detail‑driven Accountant to oversee daily financial operations for its food & beverage venue in Al Ain. The role ensures accurate ledger maintenance, timely processing of transactions, and strict compliance with UAE VAT regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, record journal entries, and ensure ledger accuracy.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, and perform multi‑account bank reconciliations.
• Prepare regular MIS reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
• Handle all financial transactions using Zoho Books and Odoo ERP.
• Prepare and file quarterly UAE VAT returns in line with local tax authority guidelines.
• Support month‑end closing and act as the primary liaison during external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in the food & beverage or hospitality sector.
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT legislation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zoho Books.
• Proficiency with Odoo ERP.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT compliance processes.
