Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team on a three‑month fixed‑term contract. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, supporting supplier onboarding, and assisting with month‑end closing and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record supplier invoices accurately, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyse monthly gross profit reports, aligning revenue and cost data.
• Review and verify supplier documents during onboarding to ensure policy compliance.
• Participate in month‑end closing activities, including journal entries and accruals.
• Ensure all accounting work complies with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (MBA/MCOM/CPA/CA preferred).
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics or a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliation processes and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
