Accountant

About the role

Al Mahara Heavy Equipment Maintenance, established in 2016, maintains a wide range of heavy equipment and supplies spare parts, working with brands such as Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, Hyundai and Doosan. It is seeking an Accountant to support accurate financial records and reliable day-to-day accounting for its Ajman-based operations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank transactions and general ledger entries.
• Prepare invoices, payment records, expense reports and supporting documentation for equipment maintenance and spare-parts transactions.
• Assist with monthly closing, account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor receivables and payables, follow up on outstanding balances and help maintain accurate cash-flow records.
• Maintain organized accounting files and ensure transactions are supported by appropriate approvals and documentation.
• Coordinate with operations and purchasing teams to verify invoices, purchase records and job-related expenses.
• Support budgeting, audit requests and compliance with applicable UAE accounting and tax requirements.

Required profile

• Practical experience with bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance and routine accounting operations.
• Competence in accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payment tracking and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare accurate expense summaries, account schedules and basic financial reports.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and organized document-management habits.
• Understanding of accounting controls, confidentiality and supporting documentation for transactions.
• Clear communication and ability to coordinate with operations, purchasing and management teams.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT and local financial compliance requirements is an advantage.

• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools, including formulas, data review and reconciliations.
