Accountant – Payables

About the role

Aldar Education is looking for an Accountant – Payables to manage corporate accounts payable activities for its headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The role involves end‑to‑end invoice processing, supplier reconciliations and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and tax requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and credit notes, perform PO and receipt matching, and maintain supplier accounts.
• Prepare payment proposals, post and reconcile supplier payments, and support month‑end closing activities including accruals and cut‑off schedules.
• Conduct supplier reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve exceptions such as duplicate payments or blocked transactions.
• Assist with ERP, workflow, e‑invoicing and P2P enhancements, and provide periodic AP reports to the Assistant Manager – HQ Financial Operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounts payable or financial accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP‑based Procure‑to‑Pay processes and multi‑entity operations is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
