Accountant – Sharjah

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our team at Riviera FZE, an oil terminal operating in Hamriyah Free Zone, Sharjah. The role involves managing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting the finance department in preparing accurate financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bookkeeping, data entry and manage expense and petty‑cash records.
• Handle VAT and corporate tax compliance, preparing and filing required returns.
• Assist in the preparation and finalisation of financial statements and balance sheets.
• Draft, review and maintain contracts, agreements and other commercial documents.
• Follow up with customers on payments, documentation and operational matters.
• Prepare internal accounting and financial reports, as well as multi‑currency invoices.
• Coordinate hiring, onboarding and preparation of offer letters for new employees.
• Negotiate commercial terms with vendors and clients, and conduct KYC and compliance checks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client KYC documentation and collaborate with internal teams to meet accounting and administrative deadlines.

Required profile

• Fast and efficient with a strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with Tally accounting software.
• Experience with QuickBooks.
